The Chainsmokers is having one of their most successful years ever in 2018, and the are currently listed in Forbes’ the world’s highest-paid DJs at No. 2.
Created by two guys who really loved EDM/electronic music and were already playing and composing now and then, Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall became friends and started writing songs together before their explosion in the pop media.
Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall are behind some of the most successful hits of the genre, mainly “Something Just Like This,” composed in collaboration with the band Coldplay in 2017, “Closer,” released in 2016 with Halsey’s participation in the song, and, later that year, their hit “All We Know” with Phoebe Ryan.
The Chainsmokers have continued to release single tracks and albums throughout their years composing and touring around the world, and their most recent album titled “Memories … Do Not Open,” is one of the band’s most successful albums to this date and has a platinum status in the billboards and the pop media.
Memories … Do Not Open is increasing the duo’s success in the media even more than before. Their influence in the electronic music genre is enormous, and they continue to collaborate with other extremely famous artists and bands. The Chainsmokers’ new Debut Album was the third-longest-running No. 1 in the billboards of the Dance and Electronic Music Charts and continued to stay in the list for months.
Memories … Do Not Open was released more than a year ago but has continued being one of the most popular albums of the pop culture. The Chainsmokers continues to receive high amounts of profit and feedback from fans, and many tracks of their album remain among some of the most listened songs of the duo and the genre.
The Chainsmokers began when Alex Pall met Andrew Taggart. Alex Pall had already worked as a DJ here and there, but had another stable job that wasn’t related to the music industry. Taggart was a University student who had already composed tracks as an amateur DJ and had a bit of popularity. When the two started producing together, they created the successful Chainsmokers.
